Hey all!  Retreat is THIS FRIDAY!  We are so very excited!  

Please plan to drop your student off AT CAMP on Friday at 8.  Come to the dining hall where you will get your cabin assignment then you can head over to the cabin to drop your kids off.  On Sunday, we will bring the students back to Stromsburg Covenant at 11:30.  Attached to this post you'll find a packing list.

Can't wait to see you all!

We are planning on hot dogs and brats, chips, and bottled water. A couple of guys are bringing their grills so we can all work together and we may even need more grills! We are also asking for volunteers to make bars or cookies for our dessert.

​"Kairos" is a great Greek word that mean "Interrupted."  This weekend is all about learning to pay attention to Kairos moments in your life; those moments where God interrupts you.  Do you know they happen?  Do you pay attention to them?  What do you do with those moments? This weekend will be a great time away at Covenant Cedars to have fun, relax, rest, and listen to God speaking to you.

Our middle school retreat is November 4-6 at Covenant Cedars Bible Camp!

During the weekend we will be learning how a fire is like our spiritual life. Just as we have to feed fuel into a fire to keep it burning, so we have to feed our “spiritual fire.” A neglected spiritual life, just as a neglected bonfire, will grow cold over time. What lessons do you suppose you will learn about your faith from keeping a fire burning overnight and through the day? Your team will need to figure out how to get your fire started and once it is started how to nurture it to keep it going. You should also know that the things you do during the weekend will either give you more fuel, or your fire will be doused with water. What things do you think will cause your fire to grow? What things will douse it? Those are questions your team will need to figure out this weekend in order to keep your fire burning bright.
